BUS EXCURSION FROM CIVITAVECCHIA TO ROME

How to find the bus:
Take one of the free shuttle buses from your ship to the port exit (approx. 5 min). Meet the assistant at the only bus stop at the port exit (Largo della Pace) not later than 9.15 am. Easy to find: The staff is wearing yellow shirts.
The departure is from the port exit of Civitavecchia at 9.20 / 9.30 am.
First stop in Rome, the Vatican, where you will have 90 minute free time to visit S. Peter’s Basilica and the Square or to walk to the nearby S. Angel Castle PRIORITY ENTRANCE OF ST.PETER’S BASILICA is not included.
Second stop: Coliseum. On the way you will pass along some famous and impressive monuments and squares, and as the monument of Victor Emanuel II (Altar of the Fatherland), Venice Square and the Roman Forum. Once at the Coliseum you will have approx. 30 minutes to visit the area. The entrance is not included.
Third stop (where you have approx. 2 hours) will be very close to Trevi Fountain and after a short lunch break you will have time to visit the centre on your own or to do shopping in the most famous shopping area of Rome. Less independent travelers can follow the Tour-Leader from Trevi Fountain to Pantheon and to Navona Square. The final meeting point will be the “Four River Fountain” at Navona Square (the central fountain with an obelisk). There you will meet your Tour leader and go to the nearby waiting bus. Depart from Rome at 4 pm and arrival at the port of Civitavecchia, in front of the shuttle bus-stop, approx at 5.15 pm.

On Sundays and sometimes on Wednesdays the priority entrance service is not available as decided by the Vatican.
